Michelle and Jennifer are responsible for Credit Suisse’s EMEA Diversity & Inclusion strategy covering gender, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity and more. Michelle set up the EMEA D&I function in 2001. In 2006, on her return to work after the birth of her second child, she worked a four-day contract but increasingly found herself working the equivalent of full-time. As a solution, Michelle proposed an unprecedented job-sharing arrangement. Jennifer held a senior HR role at Credit Suisse but wanted a more flexible schedule. Together, Jennifer and Michelle have successfully devised and implemented a number of key initiatives across the bank including a recent agile working programme, whilst consistently demonstrating how a job-share can bring added value to an organisation
