Cook is a £40m business that makes and sells high quality frozen ready meals via multiple channels including its own shops, franchise shops, web and concessions. Richard joined the business on a two day week in 2012, having previously worked for the White Stuff, Principles, easyGroup and Tate & Lyle. He has helped to shape strategy and identify the potential to grow UK demand to over £100m, and began to introduce the infrastructure needed to support this growth. He changed his schedule to 4 days a week in April 2013, keeping that crucial day back to ‘stay fresh.’ Not working Fridays allows him time to ‘recharge and exercise.’ On Tuesdays he works from home, away from the distractions of an open plan office, and allowing him to make the school run for his three sons.
