Betsy oversees the Strategy function for British Gas, the UK’s largest supplier of gas, electricity, and energy services. She also sits on the senior leadership team of the Connected Homes business unit, which was recently created to develop and commercialise new ‘smart’ technology-enabled products and services. Betsy’s current role was created after the amount of travel required in her previous position, Managing Director of British Gas Community Energy, became incompatible with family commitments. Her new position allows her to spend more time with her young daughters. Betsy says: “I now get the best of both worlds, whilst remaining very engaged in a role that enables me to shape and influence some of the big questions facing British Gas.”
