    Julie oversees two of the biggest brands (Smirnoff and Captain Morgan) in Diageo’s European portfolio, which jointly generate over £2bn retail sales value in Western Europe. Julie is responsible for brand strategy, advertising and promotional direction for the brands. She leads a team of 15 marketeers and nine agencies. Julie joined Diageo in 1999 and has worked four days a week since her first maternity leave in 2010. She has been promoted twice since then. Her current role is one of the most senior marketing positions in Western Europe. Julie attributes her success to having a clear vision and strategy for her brands and therefore setting out parameters for her team with clear roles and responsibilities, so that everyone can deliver their part empowered by her leadership.
