Are you trying to balance work with the wider pressures and commitments of life? Do you want to help shape debates for more flexible, stable and secure work?
Join the Timewise Worker Advisory Group to be part of a movement to tackle the pressures facing today’s workforce and influence new solutions for change.
Millions of people across different generations must manage the pressures of real life alongside work responsibilities – and many more would like to do so but can’t find work to meet their needs, from caring and studying to mental and physical health issues, neurodivergence and disabilities.
The pandemic saw a huge rise in remote working for office workers – but these gains did little for frontline workers and are now being rolled back by many employers. Improvements in quality part time work, job shares and other forms of flexibility have stagnated in recent years, and there has been a rise in precarious and insecure work.
In many of the UK’s most critical sectors – from health, education and care to food, logistics and construction – the situation has reached crisis point, with employers struggling to recruit or retain staff.
National debates so often focus on the flexibility employers need from staff.
The Timewise Worker Advisory Group was set up to ensure workers voices are heard too.
Timewise wants to ensure that the millions of workers that need to balance work with life’s wider struggles and commitments have a voice to shape policy and practice in the workplace. The Worker Advisory Group:
