Gordon’s role covers three areas: helping guide the strategic direction of the Transaction Advisory Services business; leading a team of directors located across the UK and Ireland; and overseeing quality reviews across the EMEIA business, which requires international travel several times each year. Gordon began working part time after 21 years as a partner in corporate finance at EY. With a demanding schedule that left little time for hobbies or family, Gordon started a ground-breaking dialogue with his boss about balancing his passions more equally. He refocused his role and schedule and now usually works Monday to Wednesday, allowing time for family, fitness and hobbies. Gordon says he feels completely re-invigorated at work, demonstrating that balance is achievable at all stages of a career.
