Rachel is a Chartered Engineer and Associate Director in the Energy business of Atkins – one of the world’s most respected design, engineering and project management consultancies. She is responsible for delivering the company’s key global account with BP. Rachel supports the European Oil and Gas Business Director in managing a 300 strong team and sits on the European board. Prior to her appointment as Key Account Manager and Delivery Director for BP, she led a £13m business with 90 staff as Atkins’ Oil & Gas Operations manager, while working part time. She requested part time hours at Atkins after the birth of her second child in 2009 and has since helped to roll out flexible working across the business for all staff.
