Anita acts as Legal Director to Virgin Group’s head office and the Branson family, protecting and enhancing Virgin’s broad portfolio of investments and its reputation by advising on significant transactions and strategic matters. Virgin Group’s assets span a wide range of sectors including travel and leisure, telecoms and media, financial services and health and wellness. Anita was promoted to her role while working a four-day week, having adjusted her working pattern to enable her to spend more time with her young daughters. Anita is viewed as a ‘trailblazer’ at Virgin, actively supporting flexible working in her role as a senior figure in the business. She feels strongly that career progression while working part time is entirely achievable in a supportive, forward-thinking business which genuinely values its people.
