Simon advises charities, social enterprises and other civil society organisations on establishment, financing, governance, restructuring and trading. As a director of Friends of the Earth and head of BWB’s electoral, political and campaigning law and environmental practice groups, Simon has advised numerous environmental and campaigning organisations, including 38 Degrees, Amnesty, the Green Party, Shelter and WaterAid. He was recently appointed by the Cabinet Office to provide legal advice to the independent statutory review of election campaigning by non-parties. Simon has worked part time since the birth of his daughter in 2010 and was appointed partner at BWB last year. He is recognised as a leading individual for electoral law by Legal 500, a Super Lawyer for charity law advice by Super Lawyers magazine, and a ‘charity star under 35’ by Charity Finance magazine.
