It feels as if the Timewise Power 50 has come of age. Launched seven years ago to bring senior part-timers out of the shadows, it has evolved to become a celebration of the art of the possible.
This year’s winners prove that part-time work is no longer just for mums, or women, or office workers. They are the most varied group, with the most varied motivations, that we have ever seen. So while some work flexibly to care for children or relatives, others do so to write books or musicals, to pursue a side-hustle, or to look after their mental and physical health.
What our winners do have in common is that they all work for organisations that see flexible working as an opportunity, not a problem, and support their employees to succeed. We’re highlighting three particularly brilliant examples of innovative practice in our Flexible Employers category.
